Kindness

Our friendly neighbors brought over warm homemade blueberry cobbler with freshly picked blueberries and blackberries tonight! They just got back from their annual trip to North Carolina and they brought us back some of that country goodness. What a treat!!!

It inspired me to grab my camera and take a photo of the gorgeousness we shared as a family tonight. Of course we had to have it à la mode with scoop of organic vanilla ice cream. SO delicious!

It means so much to be generous. Generous with your time and thoughtful with your actions. I never felt like I had the time to stop and chat with my neighbors, but over the years a few “hellos” here and a good conversation there… it seems to have blossom into something more. Something worth making time for. Even just to share your kindness through a smile and a wave.

I feel so very lucky to have such amazing neighbors and this special delivery was a perfect reminder of how exactly what you need is provided to you when you need it. I was so in the mood for a little sparkle of something homemade AND made with love.

Kindness can come in any form, sometimes you just don’t know the impact you can make on someone else’s day. With a  few simple words or even a big, bright smile. I think of this often and try to remind myself that if you really want something, give it.

Sending love,

xoxo
